Research findings can take 17 to 20 years to reach clinical practice - a delay far too long for neonates who experience stressful and painful procedures daily in intensive care units around the world. The Bridging Lab strives to close this knowledge-to-practice gap.
Committed to advancing neonatal care, The Bridging Lab leverages implementation science to accelerate the translation of evidence into practice. Our focus is to generate and synthesize research on pain in neonates and infants, and to design, evaluate, and implement strategies that bring evidence to the bedside - where it matters most.
Led by Dr. Mariana Bueno, The Bridging Lab’s ultimate goal is to improve health outcomes for neonates, infants, and their families through innovative, evidence-informed nursing practices that are equitable, sustainable, and responsive to real-world clinical needs.
